/ a collection of programmed, theoretical and critical texts on Czech modern and contemporary art

The text archive is being built in connection with extensive researches, integrating periodic textual material from different research projects. Since the beginning, the physical archive was conceived as a practical research tool for the Academic Research Centre that critically mapped the Czech modern and contemporary art, as well as all its characteristics.

Texts are arranged chronologically by decade and grouped in several sections based on the content: cultural-political texts, general essays, art theory, art history, exhibitions, art groups, new media, architecture, foreign texts and interviews.

The bibliobase, an online database of bibliographic information, created by a special editorial software program, also serves as the catalogue for the text archive of the physically present documents at the AVU Research Centre (VVP AVU). Each document from the archive has a separate call number, listed in this database.

The VVP AVU text archive serves as part of the consultation centre for students of art history and related disciplines. The archive is available for reference use only; appointments are required.
