Exhibiting: Joseph Beuys, Marcel Broodthaers, Lygia Clark, Hanne Darboven, Betty Goodwin, Victor Grippo, Eva Hesse, Ilya Kabakov, On Kawara, Ji\u0159\u00ed Kol\u00e1\u0159, Edward Krasi\u0144ski, John Latham, Sol LeWitt, Ana Maria Maiolino, Karel Malich, Dimitrije Ba\u0161i\u010devi\u0107 Mangelos, Piero Manzoni, Cildo Meireles, Bruce Nauman, H\u00e9lio Oiticica, Lawrence Weiner.<\/i><\/p>\n

The exhibit organised by ICI New York in co-operation with VVP AVU and the National Gallery included several artists of the former “East” among the renowned names of the American, Western Europe and South American art scenes. Materials obtained through the research of post-war art in Central Europe (namely the 1960s J. Kolar, K. Malich, E. Krasinski, Mangelos) were used to assist curator Milena Kalinovska on preparation and installation of the exhibition and especially in compiling the catalogue. After the Prague premiere in the National Gallery Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art, the exhibit was transferred to the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Recoleta Cultural Centre in Buenos Aires, to the Museum of Brazilian Art in Sao Paulo and to the Museum for Art in Berkeley.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
