Library

Since its creation in 1997, the VVP Research Centre has focused on putting together a selective library to serve primarily internal studies. The main part of the library collection comprises several theoretical works and books on Czech and world art following the Second World War, along with bound copies of important samizdat works from the 1970s and 1980s, and a number of selected exhibition catalogues and symposium anthologies.

The VVP Research Centre library and text archive represent a distinctive collection of relevant material for the study of Czech visual culture after 1945. The library collection is expanded in tandem with the Centre’s research activities.

The library is accessible as a consultation centre for reference purposes only and by prior arrangement.
